So when I updated my profile (which still hasn't posted) I not only changed where I now live but I also scanned the selections of what type of climber I might be. Originally I had "boulder" as my selection because I was still dabbling in climbing, but now I'm just an old has-been who does not climb anymore in order to save my fingers for playing piano and composing music for piano. At age 69 it's not a difficult choice, believe me. I can play piano and compose to the age of 100 if I live that long. But there should be a choice of "other" rather than be humiliated by having to choose "social". I am anything but a social climber, to the contrary, I'm an irascible old-fart misanthrope, like my dear late pal Colin Fletcher was. When he and I used to get together at his Carmel Valley hideaway we'd try to upstage one another on which of us despised society more. Oh well........... Wait, the update finally posted, but it shows "social" which does not make me happy.

I figured out some sneaky technical ways to hack that a few years back (edit: make that a decade ago)
and got reasonable warning from RJ about playing nicely :)

+1 on BITD trip reports, and nobody will care what kind of climber you are
