We were climbing today at swan slabs and left our sons favourite lovey. If anybody is there and able to retrieve it for us I would be forever grateful! It is a light grey donkey and is behind a small boulder at the northeast corner of camp4 parking lot.....

Rumor has it, said donkey heard stories of a ranch in WY. Last seen racking gear at the base of the big stone. Best wishes for his safe return. Hope he sends pics. Sorry I can't help.

Well he did just complete his first clean ascent of swan slab gully so he might be looking to push his grade.......

Is "lovey" what a stuffie is called in England?

And did you know that a "hoodie" is called a bunny hug in Saskatchewan?

Edit: Perhaps the denizens of the SAR site could help?

I think a lovey is a favorite and most well loved stuffie and will definitely adopt bunny hug going forward. Thanks for keeping this bumped! Donkey is currently dirtbagging it in camp 4 whilst donkey#2 is travelling as fast as amazon prime will allow.

Nobody in Camp 4 is checking Supertopo!? Madness...

You might call the park lost and found to let them know. If you find the right person they might swing over and have a look for you, as it is pretty close to the main facilities.

Stuff goes to the Visitor Center before ending up at Lost and Found in El portal. Good luck if it gets into lost and found.

I checked the whole area around Swan Slab climbing area early this morning after unloading a full 18 wheeler of new bear boxes in Camp 4.

No stuffed donkey or anything resembling that.

So sorry .....

Actually ... camp 4 lot was covered along with the Swan Slab area just in case because of this statement:

"Well he did just complete his first clean ascent of swan slab gully ... "

Just a few climbers' teddies, most of which have lived in Camp 4:

And the original teddy bear, with Theodore Roosevelt. Not to be confused with Winnie the Pooh.
Sorry, I don't have a photo of Werner's teddie.

And we mustn't forget cheburashka, Vitaliy's friend.
These teddies sure get around!

Werner, I let all the “ stoopid american “ grumblings blind me to the fact that you have a sweet heart. I’ll remember from now on!
