This could be one epic descent if they can pull it off!

Hey that was a really good TEDx talk. Lots of humility and lots of inspiration and just plain down to Earth talk.

Thanks for posting!

Now they should move way up in difficulty and way down in height...the West Face of 10,200 ft. Cerro Torre beckons.

So epic on so many levels. These two are the real deal.

Their Sierra exploits over the years have made them local ski heroes.

I met them a couple years ago at Convict Lake after my crew was stoked to ride Morrison Col. They casually said that they tagged both the Mendenhall Couloir and Pinner Couloir. Their skin track up the flank of Laurel Mountain was impressive.

They were very friendly, interested in our tour and chatted with us as if they were just "normal" backcountry skiers. ;)

In the above photo it looks to be Blizzard Zero G skis. I've seen pictures of Hilaree using DPS Wailers w/ Dynafits.

According to https://freeskier.com/stories/skiing-lhotse-how-adrian-ballinger-co-plan-to-descend-the-himalayan-dream-line, they were skiing one of "Blizzard’s new Zero G line of backcountry skis", Tecnica Zero G Tour Pro boots with a neoprene overboot for warmth, and an unspecified Dynafit binding.
