We are encouraging all campfire chefs to bring food for this awesome event. Last year Blueblocker with Mike created the Best garlic fries ever made.....zeriously!

Who will step up to the plate this year? We need main courses (even non meat ones, sorry Jeff) appetizers, salads, side dishes and of course deserts.

Would anyone like to go in with me on creating two big pots of chicken tortilla soup? Making the food in the early afternoon in Yellow Pine with fellow chefs is half the fun. (Read beer, chips and salsa with musica!)

If you need ideas we have plenty.

Cheers and Hugs, lynnie

I’ve been bringing brownies for the last zillion years (except I didn’t come last year).

So anyway unless directed differently I’ll bring brownies again?

Finally a post that makes sense. Thanks Susan! So we have one desert for 200. Will anyone else ante up? Sometimes it takes a while here. Who can resist the ...... I forget the French word for double entendre. :)

Bringing veggie sausages and........?...something else...have not figured it out yet.

Can't wait to see everyone and looking forward to meeting a couple of tacoheads.

Leaving for the East Side tomorrow early so I may not be able to access this thread easily. Just want to say that last year we had maybe 100+ people at the meat fest. To make this happen we need the campfire to bring something for the folk to eat. And folk, this means you. :) Cheers and see you all soon.

I normally bring potables. Usually either beer or wine. Count on me for 6 bottles of Montepulciano Red. I'll figure out something else to munch on, too.

I am bringing salad for a crowd and a special hug for Nita and Andy, just about the nicest people in Yellow Pines, and that is a high bar.

Sorry I won't see you, Susan. I made shish kebab and pilaf for Mark Haymond's memorial BBQ last Saturday as atonement for my unavailability at Facelift.

Well, I really cooked out of respect for Mark, but I really will miss being part of Meatfest this year.

I’ll miss you John!

Tomorrow is a cooking all day...brownies, cookies and chili.

Sunday is GO day...car is already packed with everything but cooler items and other freshies.
Weather looks good....

See all you scofflaws soon.

Susan and Mike
