The Tahoe Regional Planning Agency, Tahoe Transportation District, U.S. Forest Service Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit, and 17 partner agencies and organizations are working on a State Route 89 Corridor Management Plan to improve traffic, parking, and year-round public recreation access around Emerald Bay and from Camp Richardson to Tahoma on Lake Tahoe's West Shore. The corridor is home to many of Tahoe's most popular recreation sites and backcountry areas and sees almost 1.8 million visitors annually. They are seeking input from both summer and winter recreation users.
