I bet if there was a way to correlate site visitation with level of affluence, Muir Woods would rank near the top of being accessible to those with more means.

Now it is even less accessible.

With all the insane traffic in Yosemite Valley, it still brings me joy to see less affluent people getting to see a glimpse of wilderness for the first time, and families picnicking near the river at swinging bridge.

Its good to have balance though.

Conservation is important too.
