I'll be doing the RNWF of Half Dome in 2 weeks. Does anyone know if the spring at the base of HD is still running / usually running this time of year?
I'd like to not have to do the death slabs with gallons of water in my pack but I'd also like to not hike to the base and there be no water source for us.
Any insight appreciated! :)

Two weeks is a long time to be on the wall. Are you taking extra food?

Hahah I meant "leaving in 2 weeks" definitely not spending 2 weeks on that wall

Do it in one day...hauling is a bitch. Camp at the base and then again when you finish. Camping up there is several orders of magnitude better then being in the Ditch.

I hear you, Jim. We battled the pig up that wall, but we were rewarded with some great times hanging out. My night on Big Sandy is among the best of my life. We got there in the late afternoon and lounged about, soaking in the place for hours, dreaming in the golden light of sunset. Blasting routes in a day is not always what it's cracked up to be.
