I have a large collection of paperback AAJ's and Alpinist Magazines which need a new home.

There are 34 AAJ's:
1972-1995 (except 1978 and 1984)
1998, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2007, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2016.
In addition, I have the AAJ index from 1929 to 1976, and a variety of Accidents in North America journals.

I'd much prefer to sell this as an entire set.

Asking $200 including shipping.

Secondly, I have some Alpinist Magazines.
#2-12, 14-17 (there was never a #13), 19-23, and #29

Asking $100 shipped for the set. As with the AAJ's, would prefer to sell it as one unit.

I prefer to use Paypal.

Thanks!
Mark

Howdy there Mr. Lauria

Your name looks quite familiar --- I think I may have seen it in Mr Roper's book about CAMP 4...

Since reading his book and a few others (and lurking here too much) I've got a taste for the climbing history.

I could offer you a good price for such a complete collection. Do they have nice color photographs? I noticed you can read the article text on the AAJ website now, but there's something satisfying about holding a book/mag in your hands...

If you would like to work out details, you can message me at jthomasnewgard@gmail.com

Bump: Alpinists are sold.

However- all of the AAJ's are available again, as the sale above was foiled by ridiculously high international shipping costs.

Any takers?

Hello Mark,

I'd be interested in any and all 1985 or earlier Accidents in NA Mountaineering you might have. I can monitor this thread for your reply or you can contact me directly at climberjohn AT hotmail DOT com. Thanks! -NB

Hey there,
The Accidents in NA's that I have are all from the 2000's or later, no early ones.

And while I'm here...bump...all AAJ's still on the block.

I have the following Accidents in N. American Mountaineering:

1955
1957
1961-1963
1965-1973
1980-2017

and the following American Alpine Journals:

1961-2017

The early issues have been well read (especially the 1965 issue), but all from 1966 through 1977 are in very good condition. Everything from 1978 through 2017 are in excellent condition - most have never been opened.
