Bump....
I'm sending a few chalkbags out later today. Looks like they can use shoes, crashpads, helmets and backpacks.

I doubt they want my old Joe Brown helmet. I would be embarrassed to give it, imagine some poor kid wearing it?
I do have some packs and other gear, will drop in Lone Pine when i get up that way. Do they just want bouldering gear, no "real climbing gear"?

You can call them to find out about roped climbing gear, but my guess is that they maybe go bouldering more than roping up, and if they rope climb, perhaps there is some guide service that is volunteering their time, and thus would have gear. Now....if there are some guides who might be interested in volunteering, maybe they would be grateful to accept!
