Another adventure!

The unknowns. Food, weather, will sheep be friendly?

Would they accept a moose?

Adrenaline runs high. We’ll be visiting the land of Avery. Maybe even climbing.

Will I miss him?

Good fishing for rainbow and browns, almost as good as Alaska. There’s a big run of rainbows in the Tongareria(sp?) that feeds Lake Talpo(sp?)

Moosie, I had to pull that earlier post, having thought about what an awful send-off it was. Give Ewa my best and look out for each other.

Moosie,
As a climber you simply MUST go to the S island. There is acceptable climbing on n island, particularly on the mid-island limestone belt, but it is a poor substitute for what lies over the straights.

Avery lives on the mainland (i.e. the South Island)

I can put you up if visiting Twizel.

Guard your money and credit cards carefully in NZ.

I went to the NZ once, about 4 years ago, suffered incredible problems with thievery, credit card fraud, etc. The entire trip was a disaster.

Why would anyone want to go to NZ? Be careful.

Good idea All-Stay out of NZ, dangerous place, full of nasty and unfriendly people just waiting to take advantage of you, unattractive landscape, geology and morphology, far too much coast line and those dam Southern Alps just messin with you mind.

Sorry to say Moose, but you are choosing a weird time of year to go to NZ.
Reverse winter, so no snow!!!
Go in June or July.
