Veered away from the political stuff, but WTF? If I lived in Norway I wouldn't want to move here.

I can't even get ANY of my cousins to even come and visit. Been trying for more than 20 years. They have a better life, get used to it.

At some point I just had to tune this stuff out. If the US rebounds from being ruled by a crazy old man shouting at a television, it will prove that our system of government is amazingly robust. If not, things will get ugly quickly.

Sure, I'm making some pigmie change on the Market this year but can that make up for living in a country where the divide between rich and poor is getting wider and wider and the racial divide is never going to be bridged? Dunno. Depends on how self-interested and narcissistic you've become. Are they really going to kick the oldsters and infirm out on the streets to beg and say it's all for the benefit of the free market economy? I'm sure the hedge fund managers in Greenwich Connecticut are still going to go right on laundering big bucks in Antigua.
