Here’s a Ferretlegger and Seagoat I need to scout around for some “then” of me.

I'll try a bump...there are 560 posts to the Throwback Thursday thread http://www.supertopo.com/climbers-forum/2368769/Throw-back-Thursday-Post-em-up, so there's some hope that maybe some more folks have not just the "before" pics but the "after" shots as well.

I like the idea of this thread, and the original post was great.

I wanted to get to Quincy quarries this Fall for the 50th anniversary of my first roped climb, Friction Face.

It didn't work out but I may get to the Gunks this Spring for year 50 of my first multi-pitch.

When I get back to my photo trove I plan to post a few then-and-now pairings over shorter spans.

Those are cool. By all means unite posts that currently exist in separate locations!

That says a lot, Dave. Just don't ask what.

Thanks, Rich. Long time climbing partner R. Nugent is in Ottawa for the year, with his van. All I need to do is fly there. Robert has already made a trip to the Gunks and is keen to return in the Spring.

edit:

Rusty Trifle here I come.

I had to do a little searching, but I have a timeline!

Stein, Chris, & Fritz at the parking lot for Boulder Peak Idaho, June 1970. Our first 11,000 ft. peak.

Chris In front, Fritz & Stein behind. on Gokyo Ri, 17,500', with Everest & Lhotse in the background in 2005.

City of Rocks climbing break, June 2016, with Chris & Fritz.

& Stein, Chris, & Heidi under the same shady rock.

We climbed together again this summer. 47 years of climbing friendship well spent.
