Hi everyone,

IŽll attend a conference in St. George in November and like to spice it with a bit of climbing.

I am female, 35 and an experienced climber (since early childhood, my parents dragged me to the crag, as I do my children nowadays). I am told to be quite good company, if I want to be (and put in a bit of effort, which of course I would with you :))

I could climb the whole days on 5/11/17 (Sunday) and 11-13/11/17 (Saturday to Monday). As for climbing destinations, I am totally open for suggestions. I love both sport and trad climbing. The height of cool would be a climb in Zion, allbeit not as a first climb together.

From 6-10/11/17 a partner for bouldering, climbing or trail running in or around pioneer park would be great.

If someone out there is interested or knows someone who might be, I would be thrilled to hear from you (julehue@web.de).

In return, I would be happy to oneday show you the mysterious art of placing knotted slings in my home crag, the beautiful Elbsandstone .

Cheers, Juliane

Juliane,

Most gumbies here are not going to figure out what dates you're talking about as they have no clue how the rest of the world records them. So, 6/11/17, November 6, 2017 here is written 11/6/17

Cheers and have fun. St. George not the greatest in my book. For the time of the year, can't you swing down to Red Rock Canyon and do some long routes?

Arne is right about Red Rocks but it is more than a 2 hr. drive one way. St. George has good climbing on sandstone and basalt with a bit of granite nearby. It's a desert environment with average temperatures 18 high, 5 low during your time frame.
Zion is nearby and a must to go to for climbing or hiking depending on the partner/weather situatiin.

Hi Arne, thanks for the advice!

To clear it up, IŽd like to climb on November 5 (Sun) and November 11-13 (Sat-Mon), 2017. And inbetween IŽll have free evenings for bouldering and climbing in St. George.

As for climbing in the red rocks, you are propably right. IŽve spent a week there in 2006 and absolutely loved it. I would gladly do the drive for even one long route there. Anyone out there ;)?

Btw, I usually lead 5.10-routes.
