Driving back from the east side on Sunday, started getting a plinking sound on the roof near Pywiack, like pebbles rattling in a metal trash can. It was very local, heavy rain and hail at Stately Pleasure Dome. A few of the crack lines were gushing, full-on vertical creeks. Here are a couple pictures of the walkoff face and near West Country - there was a group up there that looked like they were about to rap and I hope they got off OK.

Amazing too was how it looked like nothing from Olmstead.

A little west of there, it was really heavy.

One for the archives, how Stately does indeed turn into a gusher in even a small T-storm!

Thanks! I've been caught by a couple TM gushers too...it's funny how I think of them as "pleasant memories" now!

We watched the same storm from the Tenaya beach parking. The little waterfalls gained steam and the big black streaks soon turned to large waterfalls. My family cheered the birth of the waterfalls like sports fans.

Just one of of those amazing days. Sometimes you get lucky.

I went scuba diving in Tenaya Lake once in a Tuolumne T-storm which dropped 2' of hail. Next best thing to LSD

Sudden showers in the canyon country can be wicked cool as every pour-off turns into a fountain of "chocolate milk". God I just love showers in the desert.

Got caught in a wicked T-Storm line on Cathedral Rocks once in Sedona... All of the descent lines became raging waterfalls. Unfortunately one woman nearly died trying to descend in a panic. I'll never forget the white waterfalls against that red rock... so cool.

We were on the dome on Sunday on the last pitch of West Flake and then it got serious! We made it to the tree for rappel right as the hail really started. Decided to do the walk off rather than slide down the 4th class.

No buzzing on the top but the thunder was really loud. A little too full on for a guy with a kid.

Glad everyone got down safely to enjoy another day in the Meadows.
