Friends of ours are hiking a long section of the southern California PCT with their 12 year old son in early June. They'd really like to hike all three of them together (mom, dad and son). But they don't know anyone down there and can't do this without a shuttle driver.

Can anyone help them with a shuttle drive from Highway 18 (right near Big Bear) to Highway 15 (Cajon Pass)? It'd be around June 8 or 9.

BTW, anyone who's read my PCT reports knows the 12 year old. He and his family have hiked with us a lot, and he came with us last August.

They'd be happy to pay. And I suspect they'd also throw in a couple free guidebooks (dad, Steve, wrote the Pinnacles and Sonora Pass climbing guidebooks with me).

I would do it in a second if I was gonna be on this continent then.
Sorry, but it's a free <bump>. :-)

There has got to be a climber or friends of a climber in Southern California who can help out with this PCT shuttle.
