As has already been posted Bowman lake road has been closed for a while and should be reopened June 1. Here is the a picture of the "sinkhole" that caused the closure. .

The funny thing is the camp hosts have hauled two very large fifth wheel trailers past this point with no problems and the people living in the house further down on the right had a kids birthday party with lots of attendees. I'll let you infer what you want from the photo. I've driven back to the Emeralds parking area several times and there are almost always climbers.

Is this past the emeralds parking area? Is it ok to get to the emeralds parking or are people you see doing so despite the road being 'closed'.

road emerald is fine, road to bowman clear and open too.

ols thread but with the weather I can't help but wonder. Is the road open?
