I'd never want to say anything slightly off to the supernice Ekat, and don't believe I have ever seen her be wrong about anything. But I've never seen it spelled bitchen either. Maybe it can be both? Sounds the same either way. #torn

As long as the 'bitch' part is spelled correct, what's it matter? It allows for fun flexibility and who could have a problem with that?
Kinda like - > 'shut uppa you face' v. 'shaddup you face'

I don't know if that quite covers it. The nnnnnnn should be drawn out a bit in verbal communication. Unless of course you use the staccato ending. Or an exclamation point. A utilitarian word. Many varieties in speech, why not in the written word?
But point taken, it probably doesn't matter how we get there.

It's not a contraction of bitching so bitchen is probably the most correct.

It most certainly is a contraction of the word bitching to many people.
Most probably never gave it a second thought, but I did. Heh heh

bitchin is slang for when you are bitching about something.
Bitchen is slang for when something is bitchen/cool.
Or is it the opposite???
Bitchen car dude.
Stop your Bitchin about the car.. dude.
aw.. I don't know. I got to go to the bitchin gym. which really isn't bitchin, but I called it bitchen rather then bitch about having to go. My body needs an oil change or a complete rebuild. One of those. :-)

BITCHEN!
Regional dialectic stylism or class superiority and arrogance? It's a tough call, but all that bolding leans me to the latter.

The correct form is b i t c h e n
It was invented in SoCal around 1958*, shortly? before
b l i n d m u n c h i e s
was derived in San Juan Capistrano
Gidget actually wrote it in her diary
* "Boy the surf was so bitchen today ..."
