The Southwest Section of the American Alpine Club
presents
An Evening with
Libby Sauter!
Join the Southwest Section of the American Alpine Club for an evening of old and new friends, mouth watering food and spirits, a bro’ deal level silent auction and raffle, and—most of all—a the extraordinary Libby Sauter.
Experience the exceptional stoke of Libby’s work as a renowned bad-ass not only on the wall but also in conflict zone medical centers around the world. Her accomplishments are remarkable and inspirational: Notable among these are the women’s speed-climbing record on Yosemite’s legendary El Cap Nose route with partner Mayan Smith-Gobat as well a first ascent on the remote Patagonian wall El Hermano in northern Chile (first ascent: Cenizas a Cenizas ~ 4’000 ft, 5.11R A3).
When not tearing up stunning walls, Libby works as healer: both as a trauma nurse and pediatric intensive care unit nurse educator. Her specialty is caring for young cardiac patients in war-torn countries like Iraq, Libya and Ukraine as well as areas devastated by natural disasters such as Nepal. She has the stoke to go where needed! Don’t miss out on Libby’s reflections on her journeys and the importance of maintaining a global perspective!
Please join us for Libby's presentation, silent raffle, Dinner, a few drinks and over all good time with your tribe!

Sounds like a great event....I'll be waxing poetic about Latok 1 in Phoenix that evening. I've always wanted to see one of Libby's presentations.

Steve....Thom Englebach went over to Latok this year with George and me. Thom is one funny dude and is doing a show about our trip at Neptunes on 12/8.
The show I'm doing incorporates the 78 climb with our 16 trip.
Don't miss Englebachs show, you'll be in stitches!

I did a show for the SW Section a few years ago and it was a ton of fun. If you're in the area put it on yout short list!

Come on out to the show, folks! There will be tales of gumby epics, some Trump jokes and some fun big wall action. I'll also be talking a lot about my nursing work over seas...

Plus, I've got a practice run up in Berkeley the weekend before so I shouldn't muck it up too badly in LA! Come hang with the crew...

Tony I'm in. I'll bring a signed Needles guide for the auction. Actually I'll sign it after we know who's got it so I can make it personal. Hopefully it will be someone I like :-)
