I hear he freed all but the great roof and the changing corners (aided both) in a day with his dad belaying.

Man that's one hell of an effort by one hell of a champion. The guy's willingness to just charge at the hardest stuff out there reminds me of the boxing champions of old who always wanted to face the best opponents, never afraid to lose. Give this guy another season in the Valley and he'll change the whole game for the better. Go Adam.

I was on the Diamond this year the same day Jonathan Siegrist got the 2nd ascent of Tommy Caldwell's Full Dunn-Westbay. It has an 80 METER 5.14a pitch at 13,000+ feet and is dead vertical to slightly overhanging. We were still in the North Chimney when Jonathan and his partner hiked passed us like we were standing still. I thought to myself, that dude is pretty grey! It turned out it was his dad; he is 66. Yeah, it was impressive that Jonathan got the 2nd ascent and took 50-foot whippers and all. However, I was just as impressed that his dad did P3 at 5.10 with BIG pack on. The apple did not fall far from the tree there!
