From the linked article:

... he has jumped at the chance of testing himself against one of the most coveted and difficult big walls in the world.
Difficult - definitely. I'm not so sure about coveted - gotta believe that few climbers consider this within their realm of possibility.

... his adventure on El Capitan will be an uphill struggle
Right - downclimbing the Dawn Wall was never part of the plan.

I was wondering about that seeming contradiction too, Curt. I conlcuded that the pitch distribution assumes one takes the easier circle variation rather than the dyno.

Either that, or it illustrates the old canard: "There are three types of people. Those who can count, and those who can't."

Great to see someone going for the second accent on this one. I thought as it was so difficult it would stand empty for years.

I was thinking things like. . . (may have posted it somewhere?)
. . . . just sayin', on his 1st trip to the Valley!!
. . . It ain't No Ditch.... do not care who you are, even
if you grew up under the Verdon. . . .

ho wait - he's Chezc! That might make all the difference

The first time you go to 'Mecca'. It blows your face off!

Screamers need not apply ...( his voice antics ) - 'kcordog' ( Godrock ) , cares nothing, - less than nothing, for Europe's best.. .... .
I'm sure I said more ......

WOW, ! Amazing, !, that said, what an awesome thing climbing is ! Nearing purity on stone !!

He is crushing it on his 1st trip !

Three days latter we shall see ??! Wow throwing at the best no warming into it 1st
Then.........
