These books are probably very collectible. If you like climbing history and can read German this would be really cool to check out.

7 books that span from 1927 to 1969. And what looks like a history of climbing from 1878 to 1978.

I have no idea what they are worth, so if your interested let me know what your thinking.

Incredible pictures and maps from that era.

Contact the Keene Valley Library in the Adirondacks of New York State. They have an Alpine collection that is a tremendous research source and was gifted by a former president of the AAC.

I'm interested, but I have no idea what they are worth. I just visited Austria this summer to see some long lost second cousins. Found out my mom's father's family is from East Tirol, and like most in the region, were mountain folk. Given the family history, these books would be nice to peruse or even have in my climbing book collection.

If you think they will better serve the climbing community in a library, that's fine. Wouldn't the AAC library want these?

H,

I can read German and even the old script of the titles. I am interested if you have not already done something with them. It is likely that the AAC library already has these. Send me an e-mail at markf845 at gmail dot com.

Thanks everyone for responding.

I'm responding to those who are interested check your emails.

Todd thanks for the suggestion, I was hoping to get something for them. But as a last effort that was a good idea. Hopefully they already have them.
