Hi there - Starting a thread with a humble request to buy or share (will split cost) of someone's Valley campsite reservation for this coming Labor Day weekend (Sept. 1 - 4).
We're a party of 4 and will probably try C4 if all else fails, but this is my last ditch attempt to get a site at one of the reserved campgrounds if, by chance, someone is canceling or willing to share.

Thanks! Don't hesitate to reach out here or at: brittanyemyers@gmail.com.

If you can get there thursday morning, bridal veil creek campground on glacier point road is first come first served. 110 spaces.

If there is a campground host, who are volunteers, they pull the tags every morning of those who are leaving that day. If no host, then check dates on tags.. Check out is noon. You drive around in the morning and find sites with no tags. You still have to talk to the person with the site to see if they are actually leaving, as they can extend their stay up to 2 weeks. Some people don't pay all at once. In the summer it is always full, but people leave pretty much every day. Some campground hosts are on top of it and will make a list every morning of potential open sites. But as I said, people can change their minds about when they are leaving.

I don't know about getting a site labor day weekend. I lived in the park 25 years. That weekend is nuts. Thursday would be hit or miss. a miss means heading out of the park, and that means camping on forest service land without a campground, because the campgrounds are also already full.

If you want camp 4, then you have to be there early early early in the morning. A line starts early and then its about how many people are leaving that day.

Thanks John M. I know this weekend will be nuts, but we'll make the best of it. Current (crazy) plan is to get to the Camp 4 line late night, and sleep/wait in line until morning. Hopefully it works!
