I haven't climbed with Drew in a while. I've been spending a lot of time with his younger brother in the wrestling room at practices and at wrestling tournaments on the weekends.

I got a chance to go with just him and me. I know he's strong, but I wasn't prepared for what I was witnessing.

It was a wonderful trip for me. The cabin we rented had no internet access, no cell service and no TV's. Great downtime to just hang with him.

Amazing.

Would strongly suggest getting your son to play lacrosse. This sport will: (1) cost you an arm, a leg and some gray matter, (2) you'll not ever have to worry about having free time ever again as you will be going to tournaments all the time, (3) lacrosse moms are not as good looking as soccer moms and the dads are all about aggression, anger, and pain.

Stay with climbing.

Thank you all for the kind words.

Wrestling is good for my middle boy. I love the work ethic combined with personal responsibility. All of the credit is JonO's and all of the disappointment is his to deal with. He played soccer, but his heart is in the wrestling. I have to track him out of the room after practice, even after he's been pounded on. I assume he'll be a great offwidth climber in time!

Drew, is just, Drew. The kid has kept me spellbound.

10 posts on a climber's forum? Next time add Hillary, Bernie, or Trump to your title. Guarantee 1000's.
No worries, I know the true joy for you Seaclimb, is when you get to hang with your kids and watch them in their interests. Really impressive what your kid is climbing.
Cheers!

I second that ^^^^^^

I saw this story elsewhere when it was released and remembered that you post here.

Don't be afraid to spray a little more in your thread title next time....
a grom going on a tear like that deserves some proper spray!
Well done to your son and to you proud poppa.

And I remember the vid of your son sending Scarface.
It was sick! And endearing because it was kinda cheesy :-) home video with mom's encouragement and all... And of something as sick as that send. Totally cool.
Now he needs a proper photog in his entourage!
looks easy from here
