The lower the rainbow the higher in the sky the sun will be, is the working theory, JohnTP. I don't know all the physics, certainly.
Time of day needed to find how close to zenith, etc.

Last month-ish heading down the freeway. Very low, and kinda hard to get a photo at 70mph through a rainy window; but you get the idea. That twin rainbow thing was cool, and the OP shot fantastic. Thanks for sharing that.
