So far I am:

I don't see a specific notice on the ASCA facebook page. If you did peeps could like it or share it or whatever they do on facebook.

one idea is to be a bit more interactive once someone does donate...

not that I need a "thank you" or anything like that, BUT, I don't even know if ASCA got the contribution... paypal sent me a notification that the money was transferred.

Even a pleasantly worded automatic reply would evoke a warm fuzzy feeling next year around donation time. As it stands right now, I have no feedback as to whether or not I'm helping the ASCA cause, if the contribution is going to be matched, and all that other stuff that makes it seem worthwhile.

It is worthwhile, the work ASCA does is fantastic, I love clipping those bolts... Roger is a lovable beast, Greg a bolting wizard and Chris an effective manager...

...I shouldn't ask for anything more, really, but that my contribution helps make this possible.

Still, it would be very nice to know they got the funds..
and not only that, but non-profits have to send some sort of receipt for donations.

How about it guys?

Part of promoting donations for the future is laying the ground work today.

I just posted a photo up on Instagram and tagged a bunch of random climbing-related things. Maybe it will prompt someone with more followers to post something? PGBelmont is using: #battleforbolts
looking sketchy there...

I like Ed's idea of a simple automated response acknowledging a donation. But, even so, I'm more than happy to provide a few dollars to help an extremely important cause.

Kill two birds with one stone. Get these bolters to post up pics of them wearing pink bras while practicing their craft. At least pink rockpeckers.

Just passed the 10K donation mark which is awesome. But a long way to go to get to 20K. Please spread the word!

Reminder, you get a free Yosemite Big Walls book signed by me if you donate $25 or more before October 31. Donate here >> http://safeclimbing.org/help.htm
