How difficult is the descent? I'm not the most comfortable on walking across narrow ledges.
Would appreciate recent reports or photos of the descent.

Simple, completely top-down and intuitive.
If you can do the approach, you'll. nail the descent!
I onsighted it at age 16, in Adidas roms's, before the days of sticky rubber, or approach shoes

It's kinda like the descent of K2 according to Weld_it, only easier.

Video beats photos, and recent doesn't matter because it doesn't change (except with snow and that should not be there this time of year).

To be honest, as that GoPro nightmare video shows, there is some mildly exposed scrambling, but if this makes you nervous, you can use a rope until the terrain is acceptable to you unroped. I did this descent last year, and I found a couple of spots where I was VERY careful, but these pass quickly. Contrary to the ribbing you get from this crowd, there's no shame in using a cord if the fall potential is significant. I repeated the S.E. Butt after many, many years. And I took a noob up and down. He--a very young 18 yr. old going on 15--did great. He did drop the rope once while belaying, and I gave him some serious sh#t for that, but we got up okay. Given his tendency to space out, I was nervous about the down climbing, but he turned out to be pretty good at it, so no worries. I did lower him off the summit block; then I down climbed. Take your time. You'll be fine. Thousands have gone before you! You'll pass their bones on the way down. :)
