1) The broken handle on DAMMERR #25 was replaced with a nice fat fiberglass handle and then #25 was released back into the wild. It seems to have made its way successfully up Zenyatta Mondatta:

2) I had a free sub-domain and server space available so I made a simple website. I am not a web guru so it's pretty plain. If you send me a photo of a DAMMERR in action, I will post it.

http://dammerr.com/

3) I will be sending Brandon (who owns #25 and sent the above photo) a DAMMERR to loan out to people for test runs. He posts as BrandonAdams. If anybody would like to try a DAMMERR, I am trying to figure out how to get a couple loaners circulating. If you have any thoughts about how that might be done, let me know.

4) Perhaps I can make a deal to let somebody earn a DAMMERR. A scenario to consider might be; somebody sends me a Paypal deposit and I send them a hammer. If they can get maybe 4 parties to use it on a big wall hammer route or ground up hand drilled FA and document it, I refund the deposit. Anyway, I hate giving stuff away but am always willing to consider a deal, trade or whatever.

5) I have mounted all the heads I have on hand on handles. I have 7 but will probably keep one and send one to Brandon. I don't know if or when I will make more.

The fiberglass handle is very similar to what Forrest used, possibly the same manufacturer.

The head is different; the pick is much more narrow. Looks nice.

Buy yourself a Dammer now before Banquo realizes his labor is worth more than $1.75 per hour and he quits dinking around in the garage!

I saw a Dammer smashing beaks in a seam this weekend.

I like the new handle you got going on.

Bob (cragnshag) - I remember that weekend, we finished up some new route on North Dome.

Mucci - I think I have one self made handle left.

I have some of this heat shrink tubing for handles and grips. I bought it on Ebay. I think it's the best thing I've found for hammer handles. I don't recall what size I got. Here is what I bought:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/X-Tube-Heat-Shrink-Wrap-Tubing-64-Lengths-for-Rod-Grips-4-Colors-6-Sizes-/301088191362?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&var=&hash=item461a413382

I paid $19.95 so I would guess it was the largest size. It shrinks down to fit the handle and the neck:

I think it will last longer than tape but not forever. It seems to be really grippy, even when wet.

I have ordered some stickers. If you want one, let me know and perhaps I will send you one. I only got 20 and they cost a little over $2 each.

I need to get a hammer out for review. Who should I send one to?: Chris Mac, Mucci, Brandon Adams or whoever you all think would be the best to test and comment on it. I'll accept bad reviews because it will lead me to a better hammer.

I bid on one at the Gilge Benefit but someone sniped me last minute...by five bucks, the minimum bid. Fair game but kinda weak seeing as though it was a fundraiser. Whatevz.
I'd love one of these but I don't really meet the criteria.
If there's ever another limited batch, I'll pay.

I still have a few.

Always willing to talk about a deal.

I've been curious about the two I sent to the fundraiser. Don't people know they are supposed to pay too much at a fundraiser?
