I heard about it this morning, he was filming a documentary in Turkey and lines got caught on his leg. He was an old friend and the first guy I climbed at Tahquitz with as well as my first wall. A really fantastically fun individual. You will be missed bud.

Very sad.

Every time I watch a video or go pro of these guys I think man that looks awesome. I'm sure it is unbelievably addictive.

This story, made the Local news, a small Tv affiliate of ABC,(I think?)
that I have sent pictures to & have had some feed back from
and talked to the producers before.

The news story was accompanied by a full video of the tragic flight..that was at 5:30 am.
Not that they were cavalier, but they made comments that it was a new 'craze', that young people should not be allowed to get into. along with other B.S.

this one was a public ratings grab that made me sick.
(riding on the coat-tails of the DP, GH tragedy)

it was a horrible way to start the day for me.

at first it was a numb, WTF, - but then I sent an E-mail, stating that it was wrong to have pretty people who know nothing commenting .

by the evening news the anchor people , having had it explained to them were much more respectful.

They actually issued that warning; "This may be disturbing to some viewers" and they made no smart-alec comments.

Condolences and sympathy to all who are touched by this tradgedy

Stunning tribute to a man that lived. I hate BASE because of the pain that so many others feel, and for I think just being to afraid to live. I type this in tears on a life truly lived not sitting behind a keyboard to afraid to get out anymore. Stunning what can happen if you just get out and smile a bit.

thanks for posting the video Rincon...

that was, for me, the strongest piece of work that i've seen come out of the c4 collective...

the last time i can recall watching a short film twice was when i watched cold.

thank you to all involved for creating a piece of art befitting the depth of friendship that it emanated from.

and belated condolences GDavis.
