I can see the appeal of Lycra (and even Lyrca has a nice ring to it), but beware that dollars spent on that stuff also support the Koch Brothers who use the money to fund our conversion from a democracy to a plutocracy.

Wear Lycra and bow to your corporate overlords!

(Unless you find it used pre-1998 from a thrift store)

In the fledgling 80's, my climbing partner Charles Carr and I climbed "le Ticket, la Rond, le Carre, et la Lune" (or something to that effect) on the Aiguille du L'Peigne wearing the latest in American fashion. We literally got asked a half dozen times or more on the face, descent, and tram back to Cham where we got them.

We kept tight lips, but the snowball was now rolling. Of course the Frenchies then took things too far after that and ruined it for everybody. Bastards!
