Howdy ST Gang,

just released my 1st BIG wall climbing movie from our trip last week.
What a blast and nobody around. Was inspired by the climb so I also made a custom soundtrack for it. Enjoy and let me know what you think.

REally cool, reminds me of my first time up the column. good for you guys! I miss that. Did you see any wildlife? my last trip u the column I remember seeing a ringtail cat just before sundown. very cool memory. I want to hit the column again soon, I don't care which route, just to get out. good stuff!

That's exactly what I was thinking. Thanks much for bringing back great memories - and convincing me I need to do it at least once more.

Mucci- good eye !! yup my wifie made me those homemade aiders!!
was awesome! used webbing & old road bike tires as the platforms!
worked great and saved us some $!!!!

old school Yosemite style!' made me proud! ha!!

ya. helmet cams r a bit interesting. i tried to get the perspective on my helmet to help
prevent dizzyness... only the kor roof has the helmet cam.
ran outta battieries! ha! rest was shot on my hand held sport cam!

cant wait to go back and try my hands at the next level. any suggestions?

my goal is El CAP!

was going to do Half Dome Regular route...but..... looks like we gotta wait that one out.

what would you all suggest as the next step? route wise? another c1 or go right to c2?

thanks!

do leaning tower next. Just know how to bail by using directionals. It's a great next step. Then go back and do this route in a day without hauling. That should set you up for the nose. I have two pointers that would help you get up the nose in good fashion. 1. Clip your daisy directly into the bolt and clip the rope after you are off that bolt
2. Learn to back clean more on good gear.
Lastly, short fixing after you haul can save time and get you going much faster, but it helps to back clean so you have the gear to keep going.

thanks dindolino32 for the pointers.
very very valid and smart.

ive solo aided a bunch of pitches so short fixing shouldn't be a issue, with smart back cleaning.
my partner short fixed P5 & P6 and worked great.

yeah I need to get better at clipping the daisy 1st, rope last. ;--)

thanks gang!
