Enjoy your day, gang.
I've always loved the song "America the Beautiful", since it seems to celebrate all that's best in your nation.

Thanks, Stewie! Give my regards to Col Foster. He's a hard, but fair, taskmaster.
And don't forget to check yer anchor lines before you hit the rack tonight,
we wouldn't want you floating away. ;-)

As someone with a foot in both camps, I get to enjoy (or work on) both the 1st and the 4th.
We're having a Seattle Supertopo 4th gig tonight, but it won't be as much fun with Wayne and Masha having to stay home and guard the house across the street. Sounds like it burned last night (fireworks-related), and they're on looter watch for their neighbors. And with Mari in Squamish, it'll just be Steve & Mimi & me.
Good on Wayno & Masha for pitching in, but we'll miss them tonight. (And Steve said he'd drop off a care package of food for them on his way home.)

Reilly: Colonel Foster is still there, and certainly is a hard taskmaster, as I once admitted.
Not much danger of us floating away from anywhere these days, as we're in the middle of an epic drought. Our "Wet Coast" T-shirts are currently dripping with sweat.
