Yep, on May 27th, but in typical Malcolm style the emphasis is going to be on someone else.
Angela and I are heading over to Boulder on Sunday for the party which will be a fundraiser to help rebuild Sherpa Pemba's village in the Kumbu.

Malcolm came roaring back from losing his foot due to injuries sustained on an Alaskan climb with me in 1999 to help launch Paradox Sports which continues to do stellar work for people who have lost limbs or who suffer from spinal injuries.

I've met a lot of great people in my climbing career but Malcolm remains near the top in inspirational people that I know.

link to a great story of a Will Gadd/ Malcolm Daly epic adventures day.

http://www.5280.com/traveloutdoors/magazine/2015/03/05-urban-adventures-you-must-try?page=8

Given the Front Range’s near-instant access to trails, bodies of water, snow, and rocks, the number of outdoor sports you can do in a day is limited mostly by endurance and imagination. Ski-tour in the morning, hike in the afternoon. Ice climb on the shady side of Clear Creek Canyon and rock climb on the sunny side. Create your own just-for-fun triathlon. Of course, there are those who take the multisport challenge to the extreme. One April day back in 1997, pro climber and paraglider Will Gadd (left) and Paradox Sports co-founder Malcolm Daly set out to do as many athletic activities as they could in 12 hours. Starting on the alpine and Nordic runs at Eldora Mountain Resort, they worked their way down Boulder Canyon, carrying all necessary gear in Daly’s SUV. At day’s end, they had completed 17 sports or sub-sports. Now that’s what we call cross-training.

Happy birthday to you Mal,

60's not at bad as you thought it was going to be when you were 20 (even if you could remember what you thought at 20!).

I will be there and will be setting up the sushi bar.

Avery is contributing 10 cases.

Sherpa's is catering.

There will be tip jars everywhere. All the funds going to help Sengma and the surrounding villages.

The sun will be out (A guy can dream)

And I heard Donini has some treats of the mushroom variety.

Let's party!
