Hello Homies,
First, I'd love to see some of y'all around the campfire. Camp is set in the Hinterlands (Shuteye) and I'm as stoked as can be.
I rolled in to North Fork about 9:00 last Sunday night. Rolled in with the Gypsy Caravan trailer and some sub-par hazard beams. Compliance is not my strong suit. The plan is as follows. Help open an Eco Hostel. Start a Gypsy Caravan and Tiny House company. Get deeply involved in the climbing, alpine trekking, canyoning and backcountry skiing in the area. The bigger goal is to do meaningful work contributing my passions to the collective in the hopes of being the best father that I can.
The first step is a beer or three at the Buckhorn. The Buckhorn looks like this

And Paul was pouring.

North Fork has a reputation. For example, as the story goes, there was a fella causing too much trouble at the Buckhorn so four fellas took him back to his motel and removed his head. That kind of reputation. You might say that the sheriff don't come to town too often. It seems that compliance isn't a priority in this part of Sherwood Forest.
I am in no shape for driving and anyway I've got no place to go. Fortunately my house is in the parking lot. Morning came early as the church group meets for early breakfast at the Buckhorn.

Morning finds me at Slims Koffee Shack belonging to the entrepreneur opening the Eco Hostel. The next days are a whirlwind of meeting people, looking at offices, rentals, construction projects and being welcomed to town in spectacular fashion. Damn fine people.

The first morning, I ended up at this new yoga barn in the woods. A few days later the owners invited me to set up camp on their land and get involved. I'm going to take a typing break. This is all typed with one finger on my phone. I've been up the mountain and it's great and I'll keep posting up stuff here.

There is a big outlaw country party this weekend at Bandit Town. Besides that, I'm climbing and looking for partners. The more the merrier.

Say hello to Vern Dunaway if you happen to run into him.
You won't likely find him at the Buck, though. He quit.
Vern and Dawn moved up to NF last summer from Middle Earth.

I loved that little burg when Gene and I came through last summer and mean to spend some time there with Vern as his guest as the opportunities come around.

Good luck in your ventures.

Who is coming to visit? So much to do.

I gotta say that if the best climber is the one having the most fun then I'm in the game. Pretty fun for an old goat to find such great climbs. The first day we were dealing with weather but still managed to climb all three climbs at an amazing little sport crag.
Better weather on Sunday let us enjoy a fun 1000' 5.7 slab with a little spice.

this just in
