Thank you, Brad. All CoR climbers have benefited from your knowledge, care, efforts and vision. We will miss your official presence but it will be great to see you more on the rock and around the campfires instead of herding the 5B cats. You are very much appreciated and admired, and I know that all the 5Bers and many more are grateful to you. Happy retirement.

Bump for a great job by Brad for the last 20 years and for some lucky person moving forward.
Fantastic place to work and play and everything else is steadily getting better from the hot pool on up!

Ran into Climbing Ranger Brad a couple years back. Good guy. It was pretty much just us and him in the whole city. (we'd showed up early for the snowfall I guess). He was trimming up some bushes, but his Five-tennies and taped fingers gave him away as a climber so I struck up a conversation. Damned glad I did as he gently fished for what routes we were going to do, and I got the info that one of the old classic Lowe routes were were thinking of banging out had a totally iced up/snow covered up multiple-rappel descent. Wish all public servants would use his low-key, informative, helpful style as a role model.
ps, thanks for the great advice.

When I read Kristen's opening post, I worried that Brad was moving on to another area. Glad to see he might be staying around in retirement.
He's been a great influence at City of Rocks, and a sterling example of what a climbing ranger should be.
