LiMing is a newish and developing trad sandstone climbing area in Southern China. Five hours from Kunming... the capital of Yunnan and where I'm living for the time being.

I get a break from school June 20th and would love to go north and check it out. Anyone interested in flying in for an adventure. It's said to be somewhat like Utah... but I haven't been there.

Any other Tacos have experience in the area?

But with cobras and Russell's Vipers instead of rattlers. At least rattlers rattle, sometimes.

It does look like good climbing, if you survive the approach! ;-)

Humidity?... yea... more like monsoon rains in late june ( I've been told since posting). Too bad. People say another dryer area for June is called Getu Valley... the great arch...also not too far from Kunming.

Looks rather steep for my sorry forearms. ha

As to PSB (sounds like you've been around) they are getting stricter with each passing month. My roommate is getting booted after being here seven years for some minor infraction.
