Greg,
These Wej-Its were somewhat popular back in the south-east back in the 70's, especially in their vertical caves, I understand. They were thought to be stronger if the bolt was oriented with the wedge push-rods in the over-under position. The bolt is obviously a weak looking bolt even without looking at the specs.

I've used those in construction.
They pretty much suck but under perfect conditions work OK.

Thanks Caveman!
I'm sorry for being full of sh!t I've never caved in the south-east. I thought I had remembered someone who had caved with the CRF at Flint Ridge tell me that these bolts were popular back there. Even thought I remember seeing the bolt written up in an old NSS journal as having been somewhat popular, but they were no longer recommending this type of bolt as there had been a bolt failure of this type. Oh well, write it off to a fuzzy memory.
