So, yeah, flame away. Long shot looking for TC pros in that size for cheap.

But I just don't think they will work (sportiva heals don't fit me).

So retail is out of the question.

They aren't painful in the store. But will they be awesome on rock?

For a few bucks I'm willing to find out. Not a lot.

File under not my problem if u must.

But if you have a pair just sitting around, tell me why they didn't work, and maybe we can make a trade/ deal.

Cheers,
M

I'm a Sportiva 43.5 kinda guy, and have some old but never used Acopa JBs size 12... they were a little too big for me. Right length with flat toes, but an airgap above my toes because it seems they were designed to fit with toes curled. Lemme know! I'm driving to SF Bay Area pre-dawn tomorrow, so send me an email / message if I should bring them up with me.

size 12?

44 is like a 10.5, isn't it?

Here's the deal. Mythos 43.5 are perfect for me. Acopa JB size 11 way too small, all curled up and uncomfortable. Size 12 is right length, but the whole airgap above the toes thing (because they're designed to fit curling toes it seems.

So.

If you're saying your feet are a little bigger than mine (44 vs 43.5), I'm thinking, "hey this might be a reasonable fit here"

oh, the Acopa sizes are off that much.

hmmm, could be, but I wouldn't worry about it. I know the toe pocket problem and it wouldn't fit my toebox. thx tho!

Hey Munge -

Have to say, they're the best shoe I've ever used. Fit and performance combo is just great. They meet the hype, in my experience. The Acopa Aztecs were my go to, but after three resoles were dead. I wasn't even mad once I got these.

If you don't find 'em for the price you're looking for, it could maybe possibly be worth bringing your budget up (not retail, but maybe in the ballpark of 60-75% of retail would be worth it)

2 cents, laid at your feet!

thx Bruce.

I actually have multiple pairs of Boreal Ballet Golds, so I'm not without shoes.

But I've seen a lot of abuse thrown at the TCs from a lot of my climbing partners, so I'm leaning that way, but not committing since I know almost all other la sportive shoes the heel cup doesn't fit my foot.

Essentially this is a hedge fishing expedition, if that makes any sense. :)

Anyone else want to talk TC pro shop? Best route they did in their TCs?

If you don't have a sportiva foot I don't think they'll work. My problem is the forefoot rather than the heel though, I have wide feet and all sportivas are narrow except for the Muira velcro and the Solution.

disclaimer: I tried them on but have not climbed in them.

Thx Caught and Locker! Very helpful Locker! The tongue in particular looks like it will get beat to hell.

Had my Boreals resoled with Stealth. Never used the Boreal rubber. blech!

Now leaning away from TC pros...

I need a shoe demo day! Sportiva still do those in Bishop?

I have two pairs of shoes that I bought too small for me. Only a small amount of use.

TC Pros 44 / 10.5 usm List price $175

Anasazi Velcro 44.5 / 11 usm List Price $150

Sitting at my house in Auburn collecting dust. Just had a huge repair bill on my truck. Make me an offer I cannot refuse.....
Erik

PS. I have wide flat feet and they fit me when properly sized.
