Anyone know how strong Horsetail is going right now? Was going to climb at slab happy tomorrow. May be best to wait?

Thanks

I didn't see anything.

Slab happy pinnacle should not be wet.

Today the Valley looked like Memorial weekend.

It was packed to the brim with vehicular gridlocks.

Totally hideous, who invented all you people ?

Yes, I would wait because tomorrow it's going to either be too wet, too dry, too hot, too cold, too crowded, too windy, too cloudy, too dangerous or too cruiser.

Was in the Valley last weekend, swimming in the river, and having spring-like conditions. Did not see any flow on Horsetail and don't expect that the incredible phenomena will occur this year.

There were a few sprinkles between pitches 7 and 10 on E. Buttress of El Cap on Saturday. It snowed yesterday, so I imagine they're running better now. I hope this means everyone trying to get photos of the firefalls has more luck! There were lots of disappointed faces in the Manure Pile lot on Saturday evening.

Walleye where was your photo taken from? Seems like you were on top of the formation?

Oh I see. So you used a very large zoom lens? Great image.

Yup. Over on Random Blessing/Slab Happy two weekends ago we had a couple little droplettes floating around. That's about it.

nice story on the firefall:

http://www.nytimes.com/2016/02/25/science/at-yosemite-a-waterfall-turns-into-a-firefall.html?partner=rss&emc=rss&_r=0

It seems to me that this may be a good thing. I'd bet it diverts some of the folks from the summer, which could sure use the diversion. I'd think it would be a good strategy to develop knowledge of other natural features that are at their peaks in the fall and spring, along the same lines.

I'd love to see the Frazil Ice! Probably next month.
