Hi all. I'm pretty interesting in reading and translating in french Broken English, a text written by Alex MacIntyre and published in Mountain, no 77, January/February 1981. I can find it anywhere (even a cover view!). Maybe someone keep this issue in his bookshelf and will be happy to scan the pages for me. It would be really great. Many thanks.

Bon jour, jadoooh!

We eurocraggers need to help each other (at least until sun hits US).

So here are the three pages of MacIntyres Dhaulagiri story from Mountain #77 / January 1981.
Quite hilarious! I've always loved the opening paragraph...!

Good luck with the translation.

Jadoooh,

On the 1st page of that article, MacIntyre mentions where Voytech Kurtyka saved John Bouchard life on the Walker Spur. I was John Bouchard's partner on that climb, and you might be interested in a new book, by John Porter, on the life and climbs of Alex MacIntyre, who I knew as well.

The book, "One Day as a Tiger", is really great, and won the Grand Prize at the Banff Film Festival.

Many thanks Mickael! What a fast answer. I've heard it was a really fun text: Bernadette McDonald give some funny details of it in her great book Freedom Climbers. Not surprising as Alex seems to be as an awesome climber as an amusing guy. I'll try to do my best with the translating. Thanks again. And thanks Steve, I've heard recently about this book you're mentioning. Sounds great. I would also like to take the opportunity of talking to you guys to give you the link to a blog I'm editing : www.ge-ants.com. It's about photography and mountains. A nice duo. Be all well.
