I climbed a crack at donner pass today, and for the life of mountain project i cannot figure out what it was!

It was above the schoolroom cracks on the overhang there.

Slightly overhung, handcrack on the right with some positive edges on the left, it was kinda hard (for about 10 feet) There was chalk all over it.

we didnt know what to call it so we made up our own name.

Yeah WML, that sh#t was snowcapped last weekend... if that's for realzzzz I'll be there this weekend... well, I'll be there anyway. Climbed Star Wall in a tshirt last weekend, but had to posthole there... Just looks like the standard 5 easy finish to left school house crack to me (based off the picture)

edit:
ehh, now that I look with fresh eyes, it does look like the 9 something exit...

no tree coming out of it.

that is an old picture i pulled off the web and put my own artwork upon.

however, there is no snow on top of that rock right now. pretty much everything at donner is climbable now, snowshed of course is in the shade and would be pretty cold. little bit of snow on the approach to star wall or grouse slabs.

I would say that crack would be in the 9hard or 10easy (by today's standards) range. I thought it was mary's crack but reading the description for mary's confirmed it twasn't.

definite hand crack. just over vertical. took red metolius cams through out. left side had two flakes that had good rails to hold on too if you chose to.
