Join the Southwest Tribe on Saturday, December 6 at Taix in Los Angeles, CA. This year's event will feature amazing food, drinks, silent auction, raffle, and a special slideshow presentation by the one and only, Pete Takeda as he presents Big Mountains & Beyond.
A long-time Marmot athlete and AAC member, Pete Takeda has led numerous ventures into the Garhwal and Kumaon and Karakoram Himalayas. His climbing exploits, many supported by International awards and grants, have been covered in Sports Illustrated, Men's Health, Outside and Sports Afield. Pete is the author of three books including "An Eye at the Top of the World," and his writing has appeared in leading international outdoor journals including Outside Magazine, Alpinist, Climbing Magazine, Backpacker, and Sports Afield. Additionally, he is a Senior Contributing Editor for Rock & Ice Magazine. He currently lives in Boulder, Colorado.
The show is part of the American Alpine Club's Southwest Section Holiday Dinner. Everyone is welcome! Join us for a great evening starting at 6:00 pm. Silent Auction and Raffle with prizes for all budgets!

EVENT DETAILS:
We will be in the Champagne Room of Taix French Restaurant in Los Angeles, CA. Tickets are $40--everyone and anyone is welcome to attend! Ticket price includes meal, slideshow, silent auciton, and raffle. The evening begins at 6:00 PM with a no-host bar and silent auction. Dinner will begin around 7:00 PM and will include soup, salad, bread, entree and dessert. Pete will begin his talk around 8:30 PM. The raffle will follow.

Thank you for having it on a Saturday night. I have been known to openly complain about the LA events that are done during the week. -difficult for anyone outside of LA to get up there in time.
