Darn, and I thought you were going to post a beautiful thread on, "All I need is the Air That I Breathe." Cause really that hits home. L.

I certainly commiserate with your lungs.

My problem stems from standing around smoking waiting on the boss to decide which order to fill first. Dithers was his nickname.

"Now get over here and tote that stack of barrels over to the next trailer," he said, never adding the magic word, "Please." :0)

hey there say, jim... say, sure hope you can get this out of your system and breath better, :(

serious stuff... :(

my mom, ended up in a situation where she had to breath all kinds of 'sanding dust' in the air, for nearly two days, ' til she got away from it...

weeks later, she said she was sure she felt the effects, :(

and, sadly on a more serious note:
i knew a very nice man, in south texas, that sadly died to early, due to
asbestos junk, as, back when he worked, they did not know about it...
folks lost their dad and grampa, from years of being sick by it... :(
and--the world has lots many other... :(

hope you feel and get better...
sometimes 'hang in there' just doesn't quite help... :(

Jim

Get a respirator and use it. I used to not wear one at all for years and I wish I'd started using one earlier. Hooking a shop vac up to the dust bag port on your miter saw works wonders as well.

So to follow up at the risk of getting my neck chopped off.

When you wrote your Thread Title, it was beautifully freeing to me. Really, that's all we need. I gave up living well because I got done with the stress.

What you face with your health is similar. It's a challenge, life is. You can make a good income and risk your mental and physical health along with relationships, or you can realize All you need is the air you breathe. (Of course there is some middle ground some are fortunate to find.)

The rest will come as you see a new way and a new life if you aren't happy with the one that's causing you health and relationship issues.

Thanks for letting me have my say. Lynnie

Jim, I so agree. Sometimes the firm that contracts for the job and hires the workers to make the project happen do care and take care of their staff.

But there are, in many cases, to much attention to the bottom line. The people that work for the project can become less important than the bottom line that equals cash in the pocket of the project owner.
