Quick trip. In and out. The FA of the South Face of 5,700' (IV WI3 5.4) in the Coastal Range. It's about 1,800' from the North Fork of the Mendenhall Glacier to the summit.

These Beyer threads have me rolling. I've climbed a lot with the guy... and he's still climbing...

Always enjoy your TRs JohnKelley. Would love to have access to the places you seem to get to regularly.

It's amazing how the sh#t you seem to do on weekends is every bit as stunning and difficult as the quasi-expeditionary stuff that gets written up in mags. Keep it coming!

Stunning.

Any chance of pointing out the gist of the line on that first pic?

Nice! Alaska and Patagonia show that real climbing can be done on peaks that aren't very high.
Looks like it's warm up there....how is that affecting the climbing?

The conditions were pretty much perfect. If it was any warmer I'd be looking for a ridge to climb.

and the persistent bugger has to do it all alone! You guys get up their and give him a rope to tie into!

Exactly! Nicely done on peak 5,700. That's a great accomplishment.

It's gorgeous, and I'm impressed, but I like to keep all my views of that white stuff just on my monitor.

Well... It's raining again... But if someone wants to try to hit the next weather window let me know? It's doable in a long weekend from America
