Let your feelings out here, unless you are a Goth (then this time of year RULES!).

One is hard pressed to get up early enough that darkness at 5PM doesn't rattle one's sunny disposition.

No big time angst....just a little as I wait from the late fall transition to skiing. As long as it's not raining cycling and hiking fills the void until skiing.
Plus there is that turkey thing that is fun.

Used to be that I couldn't wait til winter - skiing, ice, no skeeters,
and no dirt. Mainly it was no dirt or skeeters.

The only winter angst I'm experiencing is due to the lack of anything remotely resembling winter in these parts.

It's been nearly a year since you asked that, Erik, and given last winter's meager snowpack, THERE WAS NO REAL REASON FOR ANGST.

I've meanwhile given little thought to what the man was saying because it's just the prose equivalent of doggerel.

There was a climb named for Darkinbad the Brightdayler in Britain in the seventies when every fifth climb bore the name of a rock song, half the ones in Britain being PF songs.

I'm hopin' this winter shits angst ALL OVER the west AND the east sides, brother!
