Down to climb anything 5.6-5.11. Ideally as many classics in one day as possible.

I'll be surfing remnants of that cat 4 hurricane on Sunday morning.

Best bet is to hang at the Uberfall in the morning. It's going to be a very nice but cold morning. Get to the West Trapps parking by 7:30-ish to get a spot. Otherwise, park in the East Trapps parking and take the stairmaster to the carriage road. Ask a ranger (they'll be the ones taking your day pass money) where the Uberfall is and they will direct you.

You'll have no problem finding a partner. However, and I warn you, steer clear of the shiny gear people if possible. There is a very good chance they are almost straight from the gym and may never have tried to clean a stuck nut while not on tension. Also, be aware of the crowds. This *might* be the most crowded weekend at the Gunks all year. The classics under 5.9 will have lines.

Good luck and at least enjoy the beauty of peak fall colors.

Port,

There's some phone numbers posted so you can take a more direct approach.

Last Sunday the cutoff time at the West Trapps lot was 9 AM.

Stop at the Jenkins/Leuken farmstand for your apple & pumpkin goodness on your way in.
