Looks like geartaco just posted an updated shoe review:

Anybody tried the Futura? I had never heard of it. I'm deeply suspicious. Seems like you could achieve the same profile and effect with a sander or something.

The Katana Lace is the highest-rated model overall, with a "9" edging score. The velcro Katana is one of the lowest-rated models, with a "5" for edging--tied for the lowest among all shoes tested. So there you go.

At least for now...I'm 'sticking' with #13.

I predict 10000 pages of arguments will now follow on why "my shoe is better". It seemed well written, that would be a hard one to put together I'd bet. Looks like some of the Mfg have stopped making shoes all together (I don't see any Boreal, ClimbXs or Red Chili's, pretty good shoes, maybe I can rifle my basement and send some in for review) Nailed it on the Defy though. I bought a 2nd pair on sale for $29 bucks thinking that it would cost more to resole my first pair, and as stated, I pretty much use them for gym and practice laps where I don't care if they get used up.

Now I have to go get my first pair of the Katana Lace's I guess...sigh.... my son just gave me my first pair of Mythos too. Now someone needs to go tell Sharma his shoe SUCKS. Haha. Won't be me.
