Kind of hoky, but By far and away the most interesting "climbing competition" I have seen. They could still do so much more as well. Maybe throw a few crocs in the mote.

Tami, have you had any of your trainees try out? You would think they would do well.

Awesome show . I do wonder how many actually climb outside though as most seem to be gym climbers from the footage .

Totally hooked. But shorter folks, like Kacy, can't even stretch out far enough in that spider thingy. So for the time being it looks like an all male group (not that I'm complaining!).
Maybe they'll have to do a woman's version.

Katy needed longer arms. After kicking ass in the other courses she hits the spider wall thinggy that is designed for tall people. Video:

Well as climbers we're familiar with the concept of height dependent moves, but it does seem a little lame to have an obstacle that can't be overcome by any means if you don't have enough height. But maybe that's just part of the sport--it's not as if short people can have any realistic hope of success in the vast majority of sports.

Climbing is an exception of course, but that's partly because high-level climbers can pick and choose their routes that they brag about. If you had to climb every route picked by third parties to be an elite climber, even the great Lynn Hill and similar climbers could be shut down on routes any half-way decent male climber of average height could do.
