Anyone been up this recently. I and another SPer (cancer boy), are considering doing the Tbolt-Sill traverse this weekend. Given the dry years we've had, it seems like the couloir could be really icy, or a bowling alley. That recent picture someone posted of the North Peak couloir was not reassuring.

Thanks for the responses (I think), and I know I'm gonna die....some day.

If you're wondering about Thunderbolt Couloir #1, the entry point from Bishop Pass, it's dry and not a bowling alley. So is Underhill from the east.

You're thinking of the SW Chute maybe, from Thunderbolt Pass? The N. Couloir is off of the Palisade Glacier, to the right of the Underhill. Thanks for the update about the Underhill though.

Yup, you're right. I was thinking of Thunderbolt SW Chute #1, accessible from Bishop Pass.

Enjoy your climb!
