So in another thread by Mike M today we discovered that Clint Cummins is our resident Mentat. :)

But what is your Dune character?

I'm not bad ass enough to be Gurney, but maybe Dr. Kynes

You know, I was watching this very movie last night and funny, when the Navigators shot spice magic out of his butt to fold space, my first thought was of locker.

Moosedrool.....thanks! I needed that - I spent enough time in Idaho to earn it!

Cragman - Baron Vladimir Harkonnen

Herr Braun - Piter De Vries

Burch3y - Feyd-Rautha Rabban

Anastasia - Alia Atreides

Jaybro - Paul Atreides

McHale's Navy - Duncan Idaho

Edit: Me - moosedrool (the original character that was dropped due to his allergies to sand)

So what is my ST Dune character, Munge?

which one do you want? Identify with any of them or at least what they say? What ships they fly? Or worms they ride?

Definitely Fremen. You know how to wear your tie dye still suit desert fashion.

Funny, Dune was my favorite book so I do know the series well.

Alia is too big of a character for me.

I am more her mother. Interesting, well meaning, a pawn that becomes a little more than what was planned. I'm a good pain in the butt.

rsin: in an interview frank said the series really got interesting when duncan idaho started acting independantly of what he had written him to do...

See "Invisible Guests: The Development of Imaginal Dialogues," by Mary Watkins (1986 I think).

Well I'd be Fremen fer sure, but I'm still working on that "sound as a weapon" thing, and would likely carry a few back ups to the weirding module.

And my stillsuit would have an extra stash pocket,...

Fattrad is a shoo-in for Baron Vladimir Harkonnen (fat and evil, what more do you want?)

Probably Cliff Phillips, last I heard of him was more than 30 years ago from a Brit who saw him dressed in a shiny metallic jump suit waiting next a lake certain that the aliens were about to arrive.
