November Anti-Depressant Medication

This TR is for medicinal purposes. Strictly medicinal. Strictly! My doctor expressed some concern over my asinine mood swings and prescribed lots of sunshine and warm skin to absorb the ole vit-D don't you know and hard work, though I don't think he was serious about that part. I know I wasn't.

Bright blue sky beckoned me to the foothills.

Surreal trees

And the ancient geology of lost seas

What, another carriage road?

The colors are fantastic

Gonna go for a little top roping action

What kind of bullshit is THIS?

Oh that's quite the backup

The rig

Quite steep

While I toiled away my angst another team showed up and quietly set up shop down the cliff from me. Dude handled himself quite well.

I's all… doi???

I caught the kid in perfecter light.

Dude was youg

But sported old school Fire climbing shoes. They looked to be in great shape too.

Looking good, kid…

So they totally gave me a top rope on one route and a nice belay so I could lead another. I was able to do phone calls in between routes and beers, too. Plus a few laps on my rig, a nice little workout and then there was the to and fro walk.

Stroll on out

Strolling along the American River

The heart of the old 49er country and the mother-lode gold rush

Ooooo THAT bridge!

Home in time for veggie tacos

Heirloom tomatoes, peppers, bell peppers, onions, white cheddar, bits of apple, squeeze of mandarin, hand pressed corn tortilla, under the broiler for about 5-8 mins.

THEY ROCKED! A little goat yogurt with blackberries and a dash of maple syrup just for fun.

Burp. Repeat as needed. This is your November Anti-Depressant Regime.

Nice, dude. I still haven't climbed there yet. Maybe when I move back to sac.

Historical and statistical information for neebee and anyone else interested.

Nicely done.

You are one heck of an ambassador and the ST of USA is proud of your efforts.

I knew I recognized the bridge; it's sort of unmistakable, once you have seen it;
my Grandad used to drive a piece of heavy equipment out that way making
highways in the fifties.

I don't know where the cliff is located, but it ain't hard to figure out from where
that bridge is located.

Not asking you to give too much away, but can you give us/me just a little more of a hint. I assume it's Southern California, but ...

I figure I know where DMT's crag is, and thanks to both of you for posting photos.

in edit
oh! Saddle Peak might just be a hint. ;-) duh.

I am pretty familiar with that bridge. It was the place to go when the Valley got a little hot.

When the locals catch you, they haul you in, you write a check for the fine, and they send you on your way. At least that was the way it used to be, and I think it used to be 500 bucks.

Thanks, Dingo. I love your goofy little TR's. Wish I had climbing close by. We gotta drive at least 1h20m to get to decent rock.

Cary on...

there is a tv set at the bottom of that bridge, does not work anymore,

use to haul rocks out there in a backpack and drop them into the n. fork,

very interesting trajectories with flat rocks, they start spinning wildly and then do some neat curves, regular rocks land with a loud smack that sends a thin plume of spray up about 200 feet,

some guy got busted jumping in a bunny outfit on easter sunday a while back,

made a paper airplane out of a 1$ bill, halfway down it was attacked by a large bird of unknown species,
